October, 1999 - Connecticut adopts SDC's Enterprise Architecture for their State's CJIS: On October 15, 1999, the State of Connecticut released a comprehensive Request For Proposal (RFP) for the development of the state's first integrated Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS). The RFP solicits proposals from qualified vendors for the implementation an enterprise CJIS, based on the technical architecture developed by System Dynamix Corporation. The recommended architecture levers the use of message oriented middleware to promote complete legacy system integration, event-based real-time movement of critical information such as arrest or escape notifications and full information reporting capability. The architecture also supports all existing presentation layers, such as 3270 terminals and mobile devices and adds web integration to deliver an advanced CJIS to the state's various justice agencies and municipal law enforcement departments.
